This is a database created to store information on the Anglo-Cornish Cardew family, including their origins, members, lineage, memorials, and notable achievements. Various documents are also available for viewing and download, both by and about members of the family.

This database is actively maintained and updated by Earl Wiler, a relative by marriage to the Cardew family. Much of the information gathered was taken from a privately written collection of works by the late Harold Cornelius Cardew-Rendle, which was then manually transcribed into a PDF, which had a total length of just under 700 pages. The original PDF version of this database (last updated 2009) may be found here.

These records span back to about the mid-16th century, when the name “Cardew” first began to appear in the records of the town of Liskeard, Cornwall. Since then, the name has appeared in several spaces throughout British history, both domestically and abroad.
